Accessibility at ROAM

Last reviewed: August 4th, 2025

Everyone should be able to learn about our products and services, shop, and get support on our site. That’s the baseline at ROAM.

What this covers

This statement applies to content we publish on roamdispensary.com and pages we directly control.

Standards we follow

We design and maintain our site with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA in mind. These guidelines help make the web more usable for people with a wide range of disabilities.

How we build for access

  • Semantic structure: Headings, labels, landmarks, and ARIA are used so assistive technologies can understand each page.
  • Keyboard first: All primary tasks can be completed with a keyboard alone, with clear focus indicators.
  • Readable by default: We target accessible color contrast and support zoom and text resizing without breaking layout.
  • Media alternatives: Images include meaningful alt text; where we publish audio/video, we aim to provide captions or transcripts.
  • Forms that help: Inputs are labeled, errors are described in plain language, and instructions are available before submission.
  • Responsive layout: Pages adapt to different screen sizes and orientations.

How we test

We combine automated checks with manual reviews, including keyboard-only navigation and screen-reader testing (for example, NVDA with Chrome/Firefox and VoiceOver with Safari). We continually re-test as we release new features.

Compatibility

Our site relies on standard HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA and is intended to work with current versions of major browsers and assistive technologies. Older browsers or very unusual configurations may not provide the best experience.

Third-party content and tools

Some features (e.g., embedded maps, videos, or widgets) are provided by third parties. While we encourage accessible implementations, we don’t control their code. If you hit an accessibility barrier in an embedded feature, tell us and we’ll help with an alternative.

ROAM provides an on-page accessibility toolbar powered by OneTap. With a single click, visitors can tailor their experience; adjust contrast and text size, increase spacing, highlight links, pause animations, and choose from multiple languages. This toolkit enhances usability and supports our WCAG 2.2 AA goals; it complements, not replaces, our ongoing manual accessibility work.

If you need assistance

We’re happy to provide information in another format or help you complete a task. The fastest ways to reach us:

When you can, include the page URL, what you were trying to do, and any assistive tech or browser you’re using. We aim to respond within two business days.

Compliance statement

ROAM strives to meet applicable requirements under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, and other relevant U.S. accessibility laws and regulations.

Continuous improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We track issues, prioritize fixes, and review new features for accessibility before launch. If we fall short, we want to know and make it right.
